sweetness

Most moms would probably agree that life as a mom is busy and can be very stressful.  It is *not* always easy to see the “cup half full,” especially when our own cup is running dry from lack of sleep and giving constant attention to everyone around us.  I think taking regular small chunks of time to find out what magic moments inspire us can go a long way in helping to stay positive throughout our days.

The photo above was taken almost three years ago.  I was visiting my parents’ house with my oldest son, who was a few months shy of two years old at the time, picking blueberries in their garden.  Looking back at pictures like these remind me to appreciate the little things in life.  Watching my children delight in eating a favorite fruit, swinging at the playground, or splash in the bath is a daily reminder to stop and be grateful for the everyday moments.

Here are three posts from the September Magic Moments Monday link-up which showcase some of the magic that can be found in the every day moments.  I hope you will enjoy reading them and reflecting on how similar magic can be seen or created in your own life.

  • Fall Activity: Create an Indoor Leaf Pile by All Done Monkey
  • The New Funniest Thing by Danya Banya
  • The Mom of a Kindergartener by Imprints from Tricia

Recently I also shared a post on the word “Inspire” for the {fill your cup} weekly journal series over at Creative With Kids.  If you are looking for a way to pause and reflect on the good things in life, you may enjoy reading the post and considering how to add more inspiration into your days.

What was your most recent magic moment?  Please link up, comment, or feel free to use #sharingmagic on whatever social media you prefer.  Next month I will be adding a slideshow of Instagram photos tagged with #sharingmagic to my monthly Magic Moments Monday post – it would be great to see your magic moments included!

Magic Moments Monday celebrates the magic in family – moments you have shared with your children, living and learning, ones that you want to cherish forever.

This monthly link-up is open to bloggers and non-bloggers alike to share some of the magic of motherhood that we are grateful to experience.  The aim of the link-up is to share the love and inspiration from our experiences so we can laugh and learn together.

The link-up is published on the first Monday of the month, and you have the whole month to enter.  Please go here to find out the rules, co-hosts, and a few other details.

Each month I will share a magic moment of my own and feature one or more posts linked up during the previous month.
