FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What makes these materials a “workshop”?

This workshop consists of a PowerPoint presentation plus a PDF document of activities to be downloaded and used yourself in whatever way you choose.  I call it a workshop because it is short, to the point, and activity-based.  Instead of pages upon pages of reading (like one might find in a book) there are short segments of text to explain ideas followed by hands-on to help the ideas sink in.

I’m not a parent but I work with kids.  Can I still use the workshop?

The workshop can be used by one parent, a couple, a whole family, a classroom, or a group of adults who work with children such as a teaching staff.  The materials are suitable for children and/or adults, and are flexible to suit a variety of teaching and learning styles.
